Section 391(b) ( 20 U.S.C. 1068(b) ) is amended— by redesignating paragraphs
(6)through
(8)as paragraphs
(7)through (9); and by inserting after paragraph (5), the following: provide an assurance that the institution will report to the Secretary on— the number and percentage of undergraduate students who upon entry into the institution matriculate into a major field of study or other program leading to a postsecondary certificate, an associate's degree, or a baccalaureate degree; student persistence data for the institution's undergraduates, demonstrating the number and percentage of students who are continuously enrolled in the institution, which shall be measured in a manner proposed by the institution and approved by the Secretary; and data on the number and percentage of undergraduate students making satisfactory progress, as defined in accordance with section 484(c). .
