Sec. 6. Staged rate reductions

Any staged reduction of a rate of duty proclaimed by the President before the effective date of this Act, that— would take effect after such effective date, and would, but for an amendment made by this Act, apply to a subheading of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States amended by this Act, applies to the corresponding rate of duty set forth in such amendment.
