Section 8 of the Water Desalination Act of 1996 ( 42 U.S.C. 10301 note; Public Law 104–298 ) is amended— in the first sentence of subsection (a), by striking 2013 and inserting 2020 ; and in subsection (b), by striking for each of fiscal years 2012 through 2013 and inserting for each of fiscal years 2015 through 2020 .
