There are authorized to be appropriated to the Foundation $7,649,310,000 for fiscal year 2015. Of the amount authorized by paragraph (1)— $6,227,160,000 shall be authorized for research and related activities; $888,825,000 shall be authorized for education and human resources; $201,000,000 shall be authorized for major research equipment and facilities construction; $312,900,000 shall be authorized for agency operations and award management; $4,515,000 shall be authorized for the Office of the National Science Board; and $14,910,000 shall be authorized for the Office of Inspector General.
There are authorized to be appropriated to the Foundation $8,157,724,000 for fiscal year 2016. Of the amount authorized by paragraph (1)— $6,675,516,000 shall be authorized for research and related activities; $933,266,000 shall be authorized for education and human resources; $200,000,000 shall be authorized for major research equipment and facilities construction; $328,545,000 shall be authorized for agency operations and award management; $4,741,000 shall be authorized for the Office of the National Science Board; and $15,656,000 shall be authorized for the Office of Inspector General.
