Sec. 512. Database on military technician positions

The Secretary of Defense shall, in consultation with the Secretaries of the military departments, establish and maintain a centralized database of information on the military technician positions of the Department of Defense. The database shall contain and set forth current information on all military technician positions of the Armed Forces. The database under subsection
(a)shall include the following: An identification of each military technician position, whether dual-status or non-dual status. For each position identified pursuant to paragraph (1)— a description of the functions of such position; a statement of the military necessity for such position; and a statement whether such position— is a general administration, clerical, or office service occupation; or is tied directly to the maintenance of military readiness.
