Section 1081 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2011 ( 10 U.S.C. 168 note) is amended— in subsection (a)— in the matter preceding paragraph (1), by inserting or regional organizations after foreign countries ; and by inserting or organization after ministry each place it appears in paragraphs
(1)and (2); and in subsection (c), by inserting and regional organizations after defense ministries each place it appears in paragraphs
(1)and (5). The Under Secretary of Defense for Policy shall issue an update of the policy of the Department of Defense for assignment of civilian employees of the Department as advisors to foreign ministries of defense and regional organizations under the authority in section 1081 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012, as amended by this section. The section heading of such section is amended to read as follows: .
