In this Act: The term appropriate congressional committees means— the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation of the Senate ; the Committee on Foreign Relations of the Senate ; the Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs of the Senate ; the Committee on Appropriations of the Senate ; the Committee on Energy and Commerce of the House of Representatives ; the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the House of Representatives ; the Committee on Homeland Security of the House of Representatives ; and the Committee on Appropriations of the House of Representatives .
The term Commissioner means the Commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection. The term Global Entry Program means the program described in section 235.12 of title 8, Code of Federal Regulations. The term Model Ports of Entry Program means the program established by the Secretary of Homeland Security under section 725 of the Implementing Recommendations of the 9/11 Commission Act of 2007 (8 U.S.C. 1752a).
