Sec. 626. Department of Veterans Affairs notice of average times for processing compensation claims

The Secretary of Veterans Affairs shall, to the extent practicable, post the information described in subsection (b)— in physical locations, such as Regional Offices or other claims in-take facilities, that the Secretary considers appropriate; on the Internet website of the Department; and through other mediums or using such other methods, including collaboration with veterans service organizations, as the Secretary considers appropriate. The information described in this subsection is the average processing time of the claims described in paragraph (2).
The claims described in this paragraph are each of the following types of claims for benefits under the laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs: A fully developed claim. A claim that is not fully developed. The information described in this subsection shall be updated not less frequently than once each fiscal quarter. The requirements of subsection
(a)shall expire on December 31, 2015. In this section, the term veterans service organization means an organization recognized by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs for the representation of veterans under section 5902 of title 38, United States Code.
