Section 1030 of title 18, United States Code, is amended as follows: Subsection
(a)is amended— in paragraph (5)(C), by striking the period at the end and inserting a semicolon; in paragraph (7)(C), by adding or at the end; and by inserting after paragraph (7)(C) the following: accesses a computer without authorization or exceeds authorized access and thereby obtains information from any department or agency of the United States knowing or having reason to know that such computer was operated by or on behalf of the United States and that such information was acquired by the United States pursuant to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act ( 50 U.S.C. 1801 et seq. ) pursuant to an order issued by a court established under section 103 of that Act ( 50 U.S.C. 1803 ). . Subsection
(c)is amended— in paragraph (4)(G)(ii), by striking the period at the end and inserting a semicolon and or ; and by adding at the end the following: a fine under this title, imprisonment for not more than 10 years, or both, in the case of an offense under subsection (a)(8) of this section. .
