Section 17 ( 25 U.S.C. 3416 ) is amended— in subsection (a), in the first sentence— by striking , in a consistent and reliable manner, ; and by striking , by gender, ; and in subsection (b)— in the first sentence— by striking and the National Center for Native American Studies and Policy Development authorized by ; and Public Law 101–301 , by striking and Alaska Native population throughout the entire United States and inserting throughout the United States ; in the second sentence, by inserting , tribal organizations, after Indian tribes ; and by striking the third sentence and inserting the following:
The report under this subsection shall be submitted to the Committee on Indian Affairs of the Senate and the Committees on Natural Resources and Education and Labor of the House of Representatives by not later than October 30, 2015. .
