Sec. 511. Subrogation of continuation of pay

Section 8131 is amended— in subsection (a), in the matter preceding paragraph (1), by inserting continuation of pay or before compensation ; in subsection (b), by inserting continuation of pay or before compensation ; and in subsection (c)— by inserting continuation of pay or before compensation already paid ; and by inserting “continuation of pay or” before compensation payable . Section 8132 is amended— in the first sentence— by inserting continuation of pay or before compensation is payable ; by inserting continuation of pay or before compensation from the United States ; by striking by him or in his behalf and inserting by the beneficiary or on behalf of the beneficiary ; by inserting continuation of pay and before compensation paid by the United States ; and by striking compensation payable to him and inserting continuation of pay or compensation payable to the beneficiary ; in the second sentence, by striking his designee and inserting the designee of the beneficiary ; and in the fourth sentence, by striking If compensation and all that follows through payable to him by the United States and inserting If continuation of pay or compensation has not been paid to the beneficiary, the money or property shall be credited against continuation of pay or compensation payable to the beneficiary by the United States .
This section and the amendments made by this section shall take effect on the date of enactment of this Act.
