The Secretary of Education shall request that all Federal departments and agencies provide information on any environmental literacy assistance program operated, sponsored, or supported by such Federal department or agency, including information about the application procedures, financial terms and conditions, and other relevant information for each program, and each Federal department or agency shall promptly respond to surveys or other requests from the Secretary of Education for the information described in this subsection.
The Secretary of Education shall ensure that not later than 90 days after the Secretary of Education receives the information required under subsection (a), the eligibility requirements, application procedures, financial terms and conditions, and other relevant information for each nondepartmental environmental literacy assistance program are searchable and accessible through the Department of Education’s website and cross-referenced with the United States Green Ribbon School application information, in a manner that is simple and understandable for school districts and communities.
