Not later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Defense shall submit to Congress a report on the status of the capability of each military department to operate in non-permissive and hostile cyber environments. The report required by subsection
(a)shall include the following: A description and assessment of potential cyber threats or threat systems to major weapon systems and tactical communications systems that could emerge in the next five years. A description and assessment of cyber vulnerabilities of current major weapons and tactical communications systems. A detailed description of the current strategy to detect, deter, and defend against cyber attacks on current and planned major weapon systems and tactical communications systems. An estimate of the costs anticipated to be incurred in addressing cyber vulnerabilities to Department of Defense weapons systems and tactical communications systems over the next five years The report required by subsection
(a)shall be submitted in unclassified form, but may include a classified annex.
