Section 1401 (20 U.S.C. 6421) is amended— in subsection (a)— in paragraph (1), by striking challenging State academic content standards and challenging State student academic achievement standards and inserting college and career ready academic content standards and student academic achievement standards under section 1111(a)(1) ; and in paragraph (3), by striking to prevent at-risk youth from dropping out of school, and ; and in subsection (b), by striking 1002(d) and inserting 3(e) .
