Nothing in this Act or any amendment made by this Act shall be construed to apply with respect to— any activity relating to a project described in subsection
(a)of section 603 of the Iran Threat Reduction and Syria Human Rights Act of 2012 ( 22 U.S.C. 8783 ) to which the exception under that section applies at the time of the activity; or any authorized intelligence activity of the United States.
