Title IV of the PHS Act is amended by: Striking National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine in each place it appears and replacing it with National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health ; Striking alternative medicine in each place it appears and replacing it with integrative health ; Striking all references to alternative and complementary medical treatment or complementary and alternative treatment in each place either appears and inserting complementary and integrative health ;
Striking references to alternative medical treatment in each place it appears and inserting integrative health treatment ; and Striking section 485D(c) and inserting: In carrying out subsection (a), the Director of the Center shall, as appropriate, study the integration of new and non-traditional approaches to health care treatment and consumption, including but not limited to non-traditional treatment, diagnostic and prevention systems, modalities, and disciplines. .
