Section 170 (29 U.S.C. 2915) is amended— by striking subsection (b); by striking: ; by redesignating paragraphs (1), (2), and
(3)as subsections (a), (b), and
(c)respectively, and moving such subsections 2 ems to the left, and conforming the casing style of the headings of such subsections to the casing style of the heading of subsection (d), as added by paragraph
(7)of this section; in subsection
(a)(as so redesignated)— by inserting the training of staff providing rapid response services, the training of other staff of recipients of funds under this title, assistance regarding accounting and program operation practices (when such assistance would not be duplicative to assistance provided by the State), technical assistance to States that do not meet State performance measures described in section 136, after localities, ; and by striking from carrying out activities and all that follows up to the period and inserting to implement the amendments made by the SKILLS Act ; in subsection
(b)(as so redesignated)— by striking paragraph
(1)and inserting subsection
(a); by striking , or recipient of financial assistance under any of sections 166 through 169, ; and by striking or grant recipient ; in subsection
(c)(as so redesignated), by striking paragraph
(1)and inserting subsection
(a); and by inserting, after subsection
(c)(as so redesignated), the following: The Secretary shall— establish a system through which States may share information regarding best practices with regard to the operation of workforce investment activities under this Act; and evaluate and disseminate information regarding best practices and identify knowledge gaps. .
