Section 2 of the Wagner-Peyser Act ( 29 U.S.C. 49a ) is amended— by striking paragraph
(1)and inserting the following: the terms chief elected official , institution of higher education , one-stop center , one-stop partner , training services , workforce development activity , and workplace learning advisor , have the meaning given the terms in section 3 of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act; ; in paragraph (2)— by striking investment board each place it appears and inserting development board ; and by striking section 117 of the Workforce Investment Act of 1998 and inserting section 107 of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act ; in paragraph (3)— by striking 134(c) and inserting 121(e) ; and by striking Workforce Investment Act of 1998 and inserting Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act ; and in paragraph (4), by striking and at the end; in paragraph (5), by striking the period and inserting ; and ; and by adding at the end the following: the term employment service office means a local office of a State agency; and except in section 15, the term State agency , used without further description, means an agency designated or authorized under section 4. .
