Section 109 ( 29 U.S.C. 728a ) is amended to read as follows: A State may expend payments received under section 111 to educate and provide services to employers who have hired or are interested in hiring individuals with disabilities under programs carried out under this title, including— providing training and technical assistance to employers regarding the employment of individuals with disabilities, including disability awareness, and the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 ( 42 U.S.C. 12101 et seq. ) and other employment-related laws; working with employers to— provide opportunities for work-based learning experience (including internships, short-term employment, apprenticeships, and fellowships), such as opportunities in conjunction with pre-employment transition services; recruit qualified applicants with disabilities; train employees with disabilities; and promote retention of employees who are at risk of losing a job due to disability-related barriers; providing consultations, technical assistance, and support to employers on workplace accommodations, assistive technology, and facilities and workplace access; assisting employers with utilizing available financial support, including tax credits and deductions available for hiring or accommodating individuals with disabilities; and supporting the development of working relationships between State vocational rehabilitation agencies, the workforce investment system, their community partners, and employers on multi-State and national levels, including— encouraging employers to recruit qualified individuals with disabilities for available employment opportunities; facilitating such recruitment by disseminating information about specific available employment opportunities to qualified individuals who are recipients of vocational rehabilitation services under this subtitle, or who are applicants for such services; matching qualified individuals who are recipients of vocational rehabilitation services under this subtitle, or who are applicants for such services, with employers that have available employment opportunities on the local, regional, or national level; and providing support services, as appropriate, to employers to facilitate the hiring of qualified individuals who are recipients of vocational rehabilitation services under this subtitle, or who are applicants for such services. .
