Section 142 is amended— in paragraph (2)— by striking customer service ; by striking intake and inserting assessment ; and by striking a Jobs Corps center and inserting support the purposes of the Jobs Corps ; in paragraph (4), by striking before completing the requirements and all that follows and inserting prior to becoming a graduate. ; in paragraph (5), by striking has completed the requirements and all that follows and inserting the following: who, as a result of participation in the Job Corps program, has received a secondary school diploma or recognized equivalent or completed the requirements of a career and technical education and training program that prepares individuals for employment leading to economic self-sufficiency or entrance into postsecondary education or training. ; and in paragraph (9), by striking area served by a regional office of the Employment and Training Administration and inserting defined by the Secretary .
