Section 507(b) of the Public Health Service Act ( 42 U.S.C. 290bb(b) ) is amended— by redesignating paragraphs
(13)and
(14)as paragraphs
(14)and (15), respectively; and by inserting after paragraph
(12)the following: collaborate with professionals in the addiction field and primary health care providers to raise awareness about how to— recognize the signs of a substance abuse disorder; and apply evidence-based practices for screening and treating individuals with or at-risk for developing an addiction, including addiction to methamphetamine or other drugs; .
