Section 3(a) of the Military Selective Service Act ( 50 U.S.C. 453(a) ) is amended— by striking male both places it appears; by inserting or herself after himself ; and by striking he and inserting the person . Section 16(a) of the Military Selective Service Act ( 50 U.S.C. App. 466(a) ) is amended by striking men and inserting persons .
