Section 240 of the Immigration and Nationality Act ( 8 U.S.C. 1229a ) is amended— in the heading of subsection (c)(7)(C)(iv), by inserting after permanent partners, ; and spouses, in subsection (e)(1), by inserting or permanent partner after spouse .
