The following provisions of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 ( Public Law 109–58 ) are repealed: Section 344 (42 U.S.C. 15904; relating to incentives for natural gas production from deep wells in shallow waters of the Gulf of Mexico). Section 345 (42 U.S.C. 15905; relating to royalty relief for deep water production in the Gulf of Mexico). Section 8(a)(3)(B) of the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act (43 U.S.C. 1337(a)(3)(B)) is amended by striking and in the Planning Areas offshore Alaska .
