In this Act— the term Indian tribe has the meaning given the term in section 4 of the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act ( 25 U.S.C. 450b ); the term medication-assisted treatment means the use, for problems relating to heroin and other opioids, of medications approved by the Food and Drug Administration in combination with counseling and behavioral therapies; the term ONDCP Recovery Branch means the Recovery Branch of the Office of National Drug Control Policy; the term opioid means any drug having an addiction-forming or addiction-sustaining liability similar to morphine or being capable of conversion into a drug having such addiction-forming or addiction-sustaining liability; the term Single State Authority for Substance Abuse has the meaning given the term in section 201(e) of the Second Chance Act of 2007 (42 U.S.C. 17521(e)); and the term State means any State of the United States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, and any territory or possession of the United States.
