Sec. 1617. Report on governance and corruption in the Russian Federation

Not later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Director of National Intelligence shall submit to the Committee on Foreign Affairs and the Committee on Armed Services of the House of Representatives and the Committee on Foreign Relations and the Committee on Armed Services of the Senate a report on the status of governance and democratization in the Russian Federation. The report required under subsection
(a)shall include— a description of the extent of political and economic corruption among the senior leadership of the Russian Federation; and an analysis of the assets of the senior leadership of the Russian Federation, with a particular focus on the illegal attainment and movement of those assets, including the use of family or friends to hide assets. The report required under subsection
(a)shall be submitted in unclassified form, but may include a classified annex. The Director of National Intelligence shall make publicly available on the Internet the unclassified portion of the report required under subsection (a).
