Section 601 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978 ( 50 U.S.C. 1871 ) is amended— by redesignating subsection
(e)as subsection (f); and by inserting after subsection
(d)the following new subsection: The Attorney General shall annually make publicly available a report describing the number of identified instances in which the contents of a communication of a United States person was acquired under this Act when the acquisition authorized by this Act that resulted in the collection of such contents could not reasonably have been anticipated to capture such contents. .
