Section 819 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2010 ( Public Law 111–84 ; 123 Stat. 2409; 10 U.S.C. 2302 note) is amended— in subsection (a)— in paragraph (1), by striking advanced component development or prototype of technology and inserting advanced component development, prototype, or initial production of technology ; and in paragraph (2), by striking prototype items and inserting items ; and in subsection (b)— by redesignating paragraph
(4)as paragraph (5); by inserting after paragraph
(3)the following new paragraph (4): The authority provided in subsection
(a)applies only to the Secretary of Defense, the Secretary of the Army, the Secretary of the Navy, and the Secretary of the Air Force. ; and in paragraph (5), as so redesignated, by striking September 30, 2014 and inserting September 30, 2019 .
