The Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness shall conduct a study to be known as the Review of Superintendents of Military Service Academies : , That the study shall use the vast resources in Professional Military Education and Training to provide an objective and comprehensive evaluation of the role of a modern superintendent of a military service academy, including the criteria to be used in selecting and evaluating the performance of a superintendent of a military service academy:
Provided , That not later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the review board shall submit to the Secretary of Defense and to the congressional defense committees a report on the findings of the review under this section: Provided further , That in addition to amounts appropriated or otherwise made available by this Act, $1,000,000 shall be available for the review.
