Section 4205(a) of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 ( 20 U.S.C. 7175(a) ) is amended— in paragraph (11), by striking and at the end; in paragraph (12), by striking the period at the end and adding ; and ; and by adding at the end the following: initiatives that allow students to apply a range of skill competencies (such as critical thinking and problem solving, communication, collaboration, creativity, and innovation) alongside core academic subjects, and do so in real-world contexts, which may include effectively using technology to improve student achievement. .
