Section 203 of the Water Resources Development Act of 2000 ( 33 U.S.C. 2269 ) is amended— in subsection (d)(1)(B)— by striking The ability and inserting the following: The ability ; and by adding at the end the following: Not later than 180 days after the date of enactment of the Water Resources Reform and Development Act of 2013, the Secretary shall issue guidance on the procedures described in clause (i). ; and by striking subsection
(e)and inserting the following: The Secretary is authorized to carry out activities under this section in fiscal years 2014 through 2023. . The Secretary may enter into a cooperative agreement with an Indian tribe (or a designated representative of an Indian tribe) to carry out authorized activities of the Corps of Engineers to protect fish, wildlife, water quality, and cultural resources.
