Section 606(a) of the Secure Embassy Construction and Counterterrorism Act of 1999 ( 22 U.S.C. 4865(a) ; relating to diplomatic security) is amended— in paragraph (1)(A)— by inserting and from complex attacks (as such term is defined in section 416 of the Omnibus Diplomatic Security and Antiterrorism Act of 1986), after attacks from vehicles ; and by inserting or such a complex attack before the period at the end; in paragraph (7), by inserting before the period at the end the following: , including at high risk, high threat posts (as such term is defined in section 104 of the Omnibus Diplomatic Security and Antiterrorism Act of 1986), including options for the deployment of additional military personnel or equipment to bolster security and rapid deployment of armed or surveillance assets in response to an attack .
