Section 1447B(a) of the National Agricultural Research, Extension, and Teaching Policy Act of 1977 ( 7 U.S.C. 3222b–2(a) ) is amended to read as follows: It is the intent of Congress to assist the land-grant colleges and universities in the insular areas in efforts to— acquire, alter, or repair facilities or relevant equipment necessary for conducting agricultural research; and support tropical and subtropical agricultural research, including pest and disease research. . Section 1447B of the National Agricultural Research, Extension, and Teaching Policy Act of 1977 (7 U.S.C. 3222b–2) is amended in the heading— by inserting after and support tropical and subtropical agricultural research ; and equipment by striking and inserting institutions . colleges and universities Section 1447B(d) of the National Agricultural Research, Extension, and Teaching Policy Act of 1977 (7 U.S.C. 3222b–2(d)) is amended by striking 2012 and inserting 2018 .
