Sec. 6203. Value-added agricultural product market development grants

Section 231(b) of the Agricultural Risk Protection Act of 2000 ( 7 U.S.C. 1632a(b) ) is amended— by striking paragraph
(6)and inserting the following: In awarding grants under paragraph (1)(A), the Secretary shall give priority to— operators of small- and medium-sized farms and ranches that are structured as family farms; beginning farmers or ranchers; socially disadvantaged farmers or ranchers; and veteran farmers or ranchers (as defined in section 2501(e) of the Food, Agriculture, Conservation, and Trade Act of 1990 ( 7 U.S.C. 2279(e) )). In awarding grants under paragraph (1)(B), the Secretary shall give priority to projects (including farmer or rancher cooperative projects) that best contribute to creating or increasing marketing opportunities for operators, farmers, and ranchers described in subparagraph (A). ; and in paragraph (7)— in subparagraph (A)— by striking On October 1, 2008, and inserting On the date of enactment of the ; and Agricultural Act of 2014 , by striking $15,000,000 and inserting $63,000,000 ; and in subparagraph (B), by striking 2012 and inserting 2018 .
