Section 1408A(c) of the National Agricultural Research, Extension, and Teaching Policy Act of 1977 ( 7 U.S.C. 3123a(c) ) is amended— in paragraph (1), by striking Measures and inserting Programs ; by striking paragraph (2); by redesignating paragraphs (3), (4), and
(5)as paragraphs (2), (3), and (4), respectively; and in paragraph
(2)(as so redesignated)— in the matter preceding subparagraph (A), by striking Programs that would and inserting Research, extension, and teaching programs designed to improve competitiveness in the specialty crop industry, including programs that would ; in subparagraph (D), by inserting , including improving the quality and taste of processed specialty crops before the semicolon; and in subparagraph (G), by inserting the remote sensing and the before mechanization .
