Section 502(c) of the Federal Crop Insurance Act ( 7 U.S.C. 1502(c) ) is amended by adding at the end the following new paragraph: Subject to subparagraph (B), the Farm Service Agency shall, in a timely manner, provide to an agent or an approved insurance provider authorized by the producer any information (including Farm Service Agency Form 578s (or any successor form) or maps (or any corrections to those forms or maps) that may assist the agent or approved insurance provider in insuring the producer under a policy or plan of insurance under this subtitle.
Except as provided in subparagraph (C), an agent or approved insurance provider that receives the information of a producer pursuant to subparagraph
(A)shall treat the information in accordance with paragraph (1). Nothing in this section prohibits the sharing of the information of a producer pursuant to subparagraph
(A)between the agent and the approved insurance provider of the producer. . Section 502(c)(2) of the Federal Crop Insurance Act ( 7 U.S.C. 1502(c)(2) ) is amended— by redesignating subparagraphs
(A)and
(B)as subparagraphs
(D)and
(E)respectively; and by inserting before subparagraph
(C)(as so redesignated) the following: Notwithstanding paragraph
(1)or any other provision of law, except as provided in subparagraph (B), the Secretary shall on an annual basis make available to the public— the name of each individual or entity specified in subparagraph
(C)who obtained a federally subsidized crop insurance, livestock, or forage policy or plan of insurance during the previous fiscal year; the amount of premium subsidy received by that individual or entity from the Corporation; and the amount of any Federal portion of indemnities paid in the event of a loss during that fiscal year for each policy associated with that individual or entity; and for each private insurance provider, by name— the underwriting gains earned through participation in the federally subsidized crop insurance program; and the amount paid under this subtitle for— administrative and operating expenses; any Federal portion of indemnities and reinsurance; and any other purpose. The Secretary shall not disclose information pertaining to individuals and entities covered by a catastrophic risk protection plan offered under section 508(b). Subparagraph
(A)applies with respect to the following: Members of Congress and their immediate families. Cabinet Secretaries and their immediate families. Entities of which any individual described in clause
(i)or (ii), or combination of such individuals, is a majority shareholder. .
