Section 9101 of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 ( 20 U.S.C. 7801 ) is amended— by redesignating paragraphs
(37)through
(43)as paragraphs
(38)through (44), respectively; and by inserting after paragraph
(37)the following: The term STEM means— science, technology, engineering, and mathematics; and other academic subjects that build on the subjects described in subparagraph (A), such as computer science. .
