Section 212(a)(2)(A)(i) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. 1182(a)(2)(A)(i)), as amended by section 302(a) of this Act, is further amended— in subclause (II), by striking or at the end; in subclause (III), by adding or at the end; and by inserting after subclause
(III)the following: a violation of section 2250 of title 18, United States Code (relating to failure to register as a sex offender); . Section 237(a)(2) of such Act (8 U.S.C. 1227(a)(2)), as amended by sections 302(c) and 311(c) of this Act, is further amended— in subparagraph (A), by striking clause (v); and by adding at the end the following: Any alien convicted of, or who admits having committed, or who admits committing acts which constitute the essential elements of a violation of section 2250 of title 18, United States Code (relating to failure to register as a sex offender) is deportable. . The amendments made by this section shall take effect on the date of the enactment of this Act and shall apply to acts that occur before, on, or after the date of the enactment of this Act.
