Section 131 of the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 ( 42 U.S.C. 17011 ) is amended by adding at the end the following new subsection: The Secretary, in consultation with the Administrator and private industry, shall carry out a program— to inventory and analyze existing electric transportation technologies and hybrid transportation technologies and markets; and to identify and implement methods of promoting existing and emerging applications of electric transportation technologies and hybrid transportation technologies. .
