Section 9008 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 is amended by adding at the end the following new subsection: Effective on the date of the enactment of the Gabriella Miller Kids First Research Act — the entitlement of any major party or minor party to a payment under this section shall terminate; and all amounts in each account maintained for the national committee of a major party or minor party under this section shall be transferred to a fund in the Treasury to be known as the 10-Year Pediatric Research Initiative Fund , which shall be available only for the purpose provided in section 402A(a)(2) of the Public Health Service Act, and only to the extent and in such amounts as are provided in advance in appropriation Acts. .
The third sentence of section 9006(c) of such Code is amended by striking section 9008(b)(3), and inserting section 9008(i)(2), . The second sentence of section 9037(a) of such Code is amended by striking section 9008(b)(3) and inserting section 9008(i)(2) . Section 9009(a) of such Code is amended— by adding and at the end of paragraph (2); by striking the semicolon at the end of paragraph
(3)and inserting a period; and by striking paragraphs (4), (5), and (6). Section 9012 of such Code is amended— in subsection (a)(1), by striking the second sentence; in subsection (c), by striking paragraph
(2)and redesignating paragraph
(3)as paragraph (2); in subsection (e)(1), by striking the second sentence; and in subsection (e)(3), by striking , or in connection with any expense incurred by the national committee of a major party or minor party with respect to a presidential nominating convention .
