Sec. 1231. Report on United States military partnership with Gulf Cooperation Council countries

Not later than 90 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Defense shall submit to the congressional defense committees a report on the United States military partnership with Gulf Cooperation Council countries. The report required by subsection
(a)shall include the following: An explanation of the steps that the Department of Defense is taking to improve the interoperability of United States-Gulf Cooperation Council countries missile defense systems. An outline of the defense agreements with Gulf Cooperation Council countries, including caveats and restrictions on United States operations. An outline of United States efforts in Gulf Cooperation Council countries that are funded by overseas contingency operations funding, an explanation of overseas contingency operations funding for such efforts, and a plan to transition overseas contingency operations funding for such efforts to long-term, sustainable funding sources. The report required by subsection
(a)shall be submitted in unclassified form, but may contain a classified annex, if necessary.
