Effective December 31, 2017, except as provided by section 404 of the FISA Amendments Act of 2008, section 1492(b)(1)(B)(i) of title 18, United States Code, is amended by striking or a court order pursuant to section 704 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978 .
