The goal of assistance under this chapter is to improve living conditions and basic human dignity for the world’s poorest people. In furtherance of the goal of subsection (a), assistance under this chapter shall be designed to help partner countries achieve the following objectives: Expanding access to sufficient, safe, and affordable water for personal and domestic use. Upgrading and expanding basic sanitation. Increasing access to adequate housing. Improving the management of water and related resources for greater sustainability. Enhancing planning for sustainable urban development.
