In order to reduce poverty in developing countries, assistance under this subtitle shall be designed to further the following goals: Accelerating economic growth. Promoting food security. Advancing health. Expanding quality education. Protecting and restoring the natural environment. Improving access to safe water, sanitation, and housing. Fostering gender equality. Strengthening democratic governance.
