Section 641 of the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996 ( 8 U.S.C. 1372 ) is amended— in subsection (c)(1)— by striking institution,, each place it appears and inserting institution, ; and in subparagraph (D), by striking and at the end; in subsection (d)(2), by striking fails to provide the specified information and all that follows and inserting “does not comply with the reporting requirements set forth in this section, the Secretary of Homeland Security may— impose a monetary fine on such institution in an amount to be determined by the Secretary; and suspend the authority of such institution to issue a Form I–20 to any alien. .
