36-2067. Department; annual report

A. On or before January 31 of each year, the department shall submit to the senate health and human services committee and the house of representatives health committee, or their successor committees, a report on licensed and unlicensed sober living homes in this state that includes:
1. The number of licensed sober living homes in each city, town and county.
2. The number of sober living homes that are licensed each year.
3. The number of complaints against licensed sober living homes received by the department each year.
4. The number of complaints against licensed sober living homes investigated by the department or its third-party contractor each year.
5. The number of enforcement actions taken by the department against licensed sober living homes each year.
6. The number of complaints against residences, places, dwelling units or other premises suspected of being unlicensed sober living homes.
7. The number of investigations resulting from complaints against unlicensed sober living homes, including how many of those investigated met the legal requirements for sober living home licensure and how the department took action on its findings.
8. The number of enforcement actions taken by the department against unlicensed sober living homes each year.
B. The department shall provide a copy of the report submitted pursuant to subsection A of this section to the secretary of state.
