72-16-304. Safety standards.

(1)Subject to Subsections

(2)and

(3)and in accordance with Title 63G, Chapter 3, Utah Administrative Rulemaking Act , the committee shall make rules adopting the relevant safety standards developed by the ASTM International Committee F24.

(2)The committee may modify or update the safety standards described in Subsection

(1), consistent with nationally recognized amusement ride standards.

(3)The committee may amend or exempt a safety standard adopted under this section based upon unique circumstances, if appropriate to ensure public safety.
