58-92-314. Status of license held on effective date of this chapter.
On or after September 1, 2026, a person that holds a valid license under Title 53, Chapter 9, Private Investigator Regulation Act:
(1)is subject to the following:
(a)if the license the person holds on September 1, 2026, is an agency license under Title 53, Chapter 9, Private Investigator Regulation Act:
(i)if the person is an entity, the person is considered to have a private investigation agency license under this chapter; or
(ii)if the person is an individual, the person is considered to have a private investigator agent license under this chapter;
(b)if the license the person holds on September 1, 2026, is a registrant license under Title 53, Chapter 9, Private Investigator Regulation Act, the person is considered to have a private investigator registrant license under this chapter; and
(c)if the license the person holds on September 1, 2026, is an apprentice license under Title 53, Chapter 9, Private Investigator Regulation Act, the person is considered to have a private investigator apprentice license under this chapter; and
(2)is subject to this chapter.
