58-92-310. Qualification credit for specified training.
In collaboration with the board, the division may adopt rules in accordance with Title 63G, Chapter 3, Utah Administrative Rulemaking Act, that exempt an applicant from meeting all or a portion of the experience requirements of Section 58-92-307 for licensure if the applicant:
(1)holds a criminal justice bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university;
(2)is certified to have successfully completed the state Peace Officers Standards and Training basic training course provided under Section 53-6-202 ; or
(3)provides adequate proof of having successfully completed a training or experience substantially similar to the training and experience required under this chapter.
