20A-5a-206. Certification of county candidates for regular primary election.
(1)No later than two business days after the day on which the lieutenant governor provides the notice described in Section 20A-5a-205 to a county clerk, that county clerk shall publish for the county, as a class A notice under Section 63G-30-102 , for 30 calendar days, the notice described in Subsection
(2).
(2)The notice required under Subsection
(1):
(a)shall include the portion of the notice, provided to the county clerk by the lieutenant governor under Section 20A-2-205 , relating to races in which a resident of the county may vote;
(b)except as provided in Subsection (2)(d) , shall include all candidates who have qualified for placement on a primary election ballot in the county for county office or local school board office;
(c)shall, in accordance with Sections 20A-6-109 and 20A-6-110 , include instructions on how the names of candidates will appear on the primary election ballot; and
(d)may not include candidates who are unopposed in the regular primary election.
